About us
Aronia Charlottenburg
Seen from above, the village is really placed in a circle, with houses placed at carefully calculated distances from each other. This positioning has been preserved since 1771, when Charlottenburg was a village of German settlers and had only 30 houses in a circle 210 meters in diameter.
Currently, it is the only village with such a positioning, which attracts tourists from the country and abroad. In addition to the unusual shape of the village, tourists are also attracted by the spiritual beauty of the locals; people who hold on to tradition and carry on the cultural heritage left by ancestors. In order to protect its unique appearance and traditions, the village has been declared, in its entirety, a historical monument by the Ministry of Culture and Cults.
About us
Aronia Charlottenburg
Located in a picturesque and unique area in the country, the ecological plantation de Aronia from Charlottenburg (the only round village in Romania) covers an area of 15 hectares. Here, with help from the specialists in the field, we grow, care for and harvest aronia plants, to produce the famous cold-pressed aronia juice.
Our farm is a relatively new project in Romania, but we are motivated by the passion for a healthy life and the desire to promote the intake of natural products. We have preferred this location because the soil and climate are ideal for the aronia plant, but we were also motivated by the beauty of the place and the opportunity to work quietly, breathing fresh air of the country. Lack of air or water pollution is also beneficial for plants, which have the opportunity to grow freely.
